The FUNKE Group’s digital business has two main thrusts: consistently transferring its core business to the digital domain – and entering new areas of business.

At the heart of this move is its digital powerhouse in Berlin, where FUNKE’s development workshop for all its digital activities has been taking shape since March 2014. ‘Silicon Alley’ is the place where the company’s digital business comes together. This new business unit of FUNKE DIGITAL will conduct research and development into cutting-edge digital products, hone apps and software, intensify their marketing, and provide IT support for the entire group.

The FUNKE Media Group is continuing to play to its main strengths: its variety of locations – and the diversity of its products. Along with the new digital centre, it will therefore maintain its digital units in the city of Essen and elsewhere.

FUNKE thrives on the creative input of its digital teams for all its publications – and they will continue to be closely involved in the development of the new unit.
